Annika (AKA Mama Viva) has always been dancing. She has taken her lifetime of exposure and experiences and melded them into her own interpretation of dance fitness. She loves sharing her passion for dance, and celebrates when she feels this connection with others. The goal for each of her classes is for those involved to leave feeling uplifted, empowered, confident and ready to take on the world with their diva selves. Be prepared to dance hard and big, to flirt, play, sweat and most of all to leave smiling with a bit more swagger.
“This is the strange thing: Dancers don't age”. Twyla Tharp
Originally from Rhode Island, Patience began her dance career at a young age. She dabbled in more traditional formats like competitive tap dancing and ballet. When college took her to Seattle she continued her love of dance outside her more classical training and took up burlesque performance and hip hop. Patience performed and produced shows up and down the west coast before turning to dance fitness. She strongly believes that dance is for everyone and the key to a fun class is to help all students find a way to bring their own flair to the steps.
Patience has taken her Burlesque and hip hop training and morphed it into a dynamic and sexy Ruby class. You’ll shake your fringe, embrace your inner diva and walk away feeling like the total badass you are.
